Do not use this workbook if you wish to understand transitive and intransitive verbs. I have not thoroughly checked all of the worksheets on other topics.Note to authors: Linking verbs are not transitive verbs. A linking verb makes an assertion by joining two words--it does not transfer an action. Example (Pg. 18, #1): "The story was a mystery." "Was" is a linking verb, not a transitive verb. Subject: "story." Linking verb: "was." Predicate nominative: "mystery." Mystery renames story. It does not transfer action to story.
I use this workbook as a supplement for my home schooled 4th grader. He enjoys the variety. Pretty simple sheets that are easy to do in about 5 min.
Nice workbook for grammar basics. Like the lay-out. Pages are easy to read and attractive without being over done.
