This book is an easy read, and loaded with legitmate infomation on getting fit and firm. A friend and I tested the principles in by Aceto and in just a four short weeks we could not believe the physical changes, and strength that were obtained. Each page, made me want to read more like a top ten novels list. Thanks to Chris,...we finally GET IT..

I did not really care for this book. The authors seem to think that if you do not have your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) in the bank ready to go that you have squandered your money and need to quit buying so many frivolous things. They then shame you and tell you to quit buying so much stuff and perhaps sell your car.

This book is truly helpful to any student and the parents alike. The complete explanations and the first-things-first within the first two chapters are commendable.Thanks to authors for sharing their vast experience.

If you never talked to anyone familiar with the process of college admission, including parents of older kids, and if you are really financially illiterate, you can benefit from this book. Otherwise, you will be given information that is obvious and easy to find out for free.

I read this book many years ago when it first came out to my newborn son. we just got done reading it again and I still love it just as much. There is something magical about the way Carl Hiaasen writes. He can capture the minds and hearts of people of all ages. Of all of his books, this one is hands down, my favorite. The important message of conservation he delivers is not delivered in a boring run of the mill way. The characters are vibrant and fun to learn about and you can watch the face of your child change from happy to worried to thrilled right along with the events in this book. I think this is an excellent book for kids and adults.

* SPOILER * I discuss part of the book in this review. Don’t keep reading if you don’t want to know more.I liked most of the story but I guess I’m tired of the stereotype of the big dumb jocks beating up the little nerdy kid story line. And not sure how I feel about Roy setting up Dana so that he goes to juvie. I don’t want my kids reading this for that reason. Maybe I’m just feeling extra sensitive about kids who have been born into crappy families but I felt bad for Dana. It made it hard for me to enjoy the rest of the story knowing Roy set him up. Not that Dana’s behavior was exemplary at all but setting him up where he ends up at juvenile detention seemed a bit extreme.It was also confusing to me that Roy would try to find a way for his head and heart to come together to get help for the owls but didn’t use the same logic when dealing with Dana. And somehow his parents never found out about it either... hmmm. Honestly, I kept expecting him to tell his parents what he knew about Dana and have them help him intervene somehow to make it better. He told them about Beatrice’s situation so why not Dana’s? Total disconnect for me.And maybe there was no other way but I felt like it was a missed opportunity for Roy and his parents to not have that conversation together.Otherwise I liked the book. I really enjoyed the first half of the book a lot. But the second half was a let down for me.

Originally i picked up "Razor Girl" and thoroughly enjoyed it. So I ordered his four best sellers.I should have been a bit more diligent. The four I ordered [SCAT, CHOMP, HOOT and FLUSH] are all "young adult books".I have now read all four and they were very good. I am now passing them on to my grand children. Good plots and characters. Great messages and all very good reads.

What a fun book. Great literature for avid upper elementary and middle school readers. Even a fun and quick read for adults. Well written mystery with plenty of positive messages for young people. Highly recommend this book.

It’s YA, but it’s written by Carl Hiaasen, so it’s a great story. Memorable characters, good story line, humor, and delightful to read/listen to. Reminds me of some of Dave Berry’s books. I’m in my 70’s, so am not a young adult, but this book should appeal to everyone.

My 10 year old daughter loves this book so much she has read it countless times. There are some themes for discussing with your kiddo (homelessness of teenage boy and abusive relationships), but the book was a great read. I also liked that it brought awareness to taking care of nature and respecting endangered species. Great buy.

Excellent audio book read by Chad Lowe, Rob's brother. He does a great job of adding character to the reading. I used this in my 6th grade class and they enjoyed it. Overall, well worth the price.

This is a sweet book. My heart bleeds for little Mullet Hands and for all the kids with useless parents. The contrast between Roy's life filled with loving events and two parents who adore him sharply contrasts with the lives of the bullies that he faces. Kids joining together to save little burrowing owls provides a quick summation after a glance into complicated lives of these Florida kids. Unfortunately, the kids warped by their strange parents remain unchanged by anything or anyone and go on to continue as older versions of themselves.

Highly recommend these books for tweens. We have all that he wrote for kids, hoping for more. There might be minor cuss words-depends on how you feel. I read these aloud to my son, we both enjoy them. It's always interesting to read books based on areas you are familiar with.

 Attached to this review, I will include a silent flip-through video (and a few photos) so you can see if the book will work for you.This is the second coloring book volume of Buffy inspired designs. I liked the first and really like the second one, perhaps even more. I appreciate that the illustrators provided the quotes and episode/season information to put each design in context. While the artwork is focused on the “bad guys”, the heroes are well represented, too.The designs are quite detailed with only a few areas that are intricate and small to color. The artwork is done by a group of illustrators rather than by one individual. I found the artwork in this volume to flow better than that of the first one (not that it was bad but it was obvious that many designers were at work on it. A listing at the back of the book gives the name of each illustrator and on which pages they did the artwork.This is what I found when I colored in this book and tested it with my coloring medium:45 Buffy Bads and Monster designs inspired by the original television series plus a great intro/title page designsDesigns printed on front of page and quotes and episode/season information printed on back of pagesPaper is heavyweight, white, slightly smooth and non-perforatedGlue boundDesigns merge into the binding; if you cut pages out you will lose portions of the designBook lays fairly flat for coloring if you heavily crease/break the spineAlcohol-based markers bleed through the page. For this use, I suggest a blotter page of card stock or heavy weight paper under your working page. That will keep ink from seeping through to the next design.Water-based markers, India ink pens and gel pens do not bleed through or leave shadows on the back of the page.Colored pencils work well with this paper. It is slightly smooth to the touch but still has enough tooth for pigment. I was able to layer the same color for deep pigment, layer multiple colors and blend easily using a blender stick. I tested both oil and wax based pencils.

What a phenomenal way to unwind at the end of the day! Color in your fav Scoobies and bad guys alike in this great coloring book! Can't believe how much fun it is. Definitely worth it :)

Huge buffy fan and this is a great addition to my desk when I just need a minute or two to decompress. I like how they used different illustrators for each page, but some illustrations just feel too detailed to color. Maybe if I get a really good pencil sharpener...

Was very disappointed in this coloring book. The pictures are more like a comic book and just not what I am interested in.

Cool coloring book, but there are many missing lines that making it impossible to color within the lines. I would buy it again, because I love Buffy.

Another great book, keeps me on my toes and get to picture them in my eyes with different colors. Use markers or crayon and they come out perfect
